A former sportswriter and magazine editor, Amber Roessner is an expert in the history of media and mass communication, sports writing, and political reporting. Roessner has written histories of journalism and books that focus on former President Jimmy Carter, baseball stars Ty Cobb and Christy Mathewson, and social justice crusader Ida B. Wells-Barnett.
